Money Cart Bonus Round — How It Works
The Money Cart Bonus is where Money Train 3 generates its entire payout potential. Base game line wins cap at 20× per line. The 100,000× ceiling is only reachable inside this bonus round. Here's the complete breakdown of how it triggers, how the grid expands, and what each of the 13 special symbols does.
How to Trigger the Money Cart Bonus
Land 3 or more Bonus scatter symbols anywhere on the 5×4 grid. Persistent gold symbols also count as substitutes — if a persistent gold symbol is on the reels alongside 2 regular scatters, that's enough to trigger. Each triggering symbol stays on the grid, reveals a value (1× to 10× your bet), and you receive 3 starting respins. If a persistent symbol was used in the trigger, its effect activates before the first spin.
Grid Expansion — 5×4 to 7×4
The bonus starts on the standard 5×4 grid (20 positions). When you fill an entire column with symbols, an extra column opens on the side. This can happen twice, expanding the grid to 7×4 (28 positions). More positions mean more chances to land symbols before respins expire. Filling columns early is critical — it extends the playing field during the most valuable phase of the round.
The 13 Special Symbols
Money symbols carry values of 1× to 10×. Beyond those, 12 special modifier symbols can land: Collector absorbs all visible values into itself. Sniper doubles 3-8 other symbols (can double the same one multiple times). Collector-Payer picks 3-5 symbols, adds their values to its own, then pays that total back to each target. Necromancer revives 2-7 already-used non-persistent specials. Absorber soaks up all normal bonus symbols and adds their values to itself. Tommy Gun Sniper targets one symbol type and doubles it 2-6 times. Tommy Gun Payer reveals a value (5×-100×) and adds it to one target 3-10 times. Then there are 5 persistent versions — Persistent Collector, Persistent Sniper, Persistent Collector-Payer, Persistent Necromancer, and Persistent Shapeshifter — which fire their effects on every spin until the round ends.
When the Bonus Ends
The round ends when your respin counter hits zero — meaning 3 consecutive spins with no new symbols landing. Or it ends when your accumulated total reaches 100,000× your bet, whichever comes first. Your total payout is the sum of all values on the grid after all symbol effects have been applied. Landing the right combination of persistent symbols with a full expanded grid is how documented wins of 16,164× and 100,000× have occurred.
